We all love the idea of working out less and getting more out of it. After all, who wouldn't want to spend less time sweating and straining and more time doing the things you love. The good news, experts say, is that not only is this possible, but one key to faster fitness is turning the things you like to do into fitness activities. Walking the dog, playing catch with the kids, or working in your garden can help you reach your fitness goals. Doctors say you can actually get as much benefit from daily activity as you can by going to a gym -- and maybe more.
It’s been a long winter and you certainly deserve some springtime pampering. If you and your girlfriends could use a day of pampering, then mark this on your calendar. St. John's SportsCare is hosting a Body, Mind and Soul Retreat on May 5th from 8 to 4. It’ll be held at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. We will highlight women’s health issues, provide screenings, and share wonderful ways women can pamper themselves. Pre-registration is required so sign up now! Just call St. John’s Referral One at 625-2000 or log onto stj.com.
