St. John's Health MinuteSo now that you made it through Christmas, what’s next? Of course, New years! It’s just one holiday after another this time of year, which means lots of meals on the go. Here’s a tip for the next holiday party you have to go to. Bring a healthy option. Even if you don’t cook, like me, you can still bring a healthy dish. Just offer to bring a veggie tray or fruit platter. And you can buy one pre-made at just about any grocery store. Having another option besides the holiday cookies and chocolate covered pretzels is all you need. Another tip, eat a full meal before you go. That way you don’t over-eat and fill up on the unhealthy options that are so tempting.

And if you’re already looking for a way to de-stress from the holidays, St. John’s may be able to help. We have an upcoming special health talk titled a new you with Dr. Teresa Gatton. You’ll learn what you can do to handle stress and the treatment options out there now. Join us Friday, January 5th at 1:00. For more information or to sign up, call St. John’s Referral One at 625-2000 or log onto stj.com.
