Winter can be downright cold, and with the frosty air settling in for the long-haul, all you want to do is settle in for a long winter's nap. But your kids are ready to get out and play. Of course, parents need to know everything, so here are a few safety tips on how you and your kids can safely enjoy the winter weather. First, layer, layer, layer. Multiple layers of clothing are more effective at preventing hypothermia than one big snowsuit. And don’t forget the gloves and hats. And finally know when enough's enough. Make sure your kids know that when they start shivering, it's time to come inside and warm up. Use a temptation like hot chocolate to give them incentive to come inside.
Are you ready for the holidays? If you are still having a difficult time getting in the mood, St. John’s has something that will help. St. John’s is ready with our annual lighting ceremony. We invite you to come out and see the flip of the switch with your kids. The lighting ceremony will take place in the Courtyard at St. John’s, this Thursday, December 5th at 6:00 p.m. For more information or to find out about other events at St. John’s, just call St. John’s Referral One at 625-2000 or log onto stj.com.
