With cold and flu season in full swing, parents who pay attention to hygiene and nutrition can boost the odds that their children will stay healthy -- or at least healthier than last year. The most important thing is to remind kids to wash their hands frequently. Germ-laden hands are the most common source of bacteria, and frequent hand-washing will reduce the number of colds and infections. Another way to protect your kids is with annual flu shots, which are still available at several St. John’s clinics.

It’s not too early to start thinking about next year’s St. John’s Life Fair. It’s set for Saturday, March 29th at the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center on the campus of MSSU. We’ll have all the same free screenings and activities for the public, plus a featured guest speaker. For more information about St. John’s Annual Life Fair, call St. John’s Referral One at 625-2000 or log onto stj.com.
