Holiday Health : Holiday Germs
Are you spreading more than holiday cheer this Christmas season? You may be spreading germs. Even though you may be spending more time indoors and around a lot more people over Christmas, there are some ways you can avoid cold and flu-causing germs. The basics include good cough and sneeze etiquette, which means coughing or sneezing into a tissue, then throwing the tissue away. Washing your hands and using alcohol based hand sanitizer is also essential. A good rule of thumb is if your hands are visibly dirty, wash them with soap and water. Otherwise, you can use hand sanitizer. Don’t share food, drinks or eating utensils with others. This is a quick way to spread germs. Practicing these easy tips can help guard you and your family from germs this Christmas. From all of us at St. John’s, we wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and healthy holiday season!
And, remember, When it matters most, think St. John’s.
