There’s some good news in America’s fight against cancer. For the first time in more than 70 years, annual cancer deaths in the U.S. have fallen. Experts are attributing the success to declines in smoking and the earlier detection and more effective treatment of tumors. Death rates have also fallen for lung, breast, prostate and colorectal cancer, according to the American Cancer Society.
While we’re making some advances, there are other areas that still need help. And this is the time for women to listen up. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in American women. Imagine, one in three women will die from heart disease. So what can you do about it? For starters, learn more about your risks. So mark this on your acalendar.
