How often do you think about your heart health? Here are some things to think about. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. That’s about 27 percent of all deaths in the US each year. Not only that, but heart-related issues cost Americans millions of dollars. According to the American Heart Association, all cardiovascular diseases together are projected to cost $475.3 billion in 2009, including health care services, medications, and lost productivity.
