Women's Health : Heart Health Tips

By now, you’ve probably heard that heart disease should be on the minds of women. As the leading cause of death in the United States, heart disease can’t be ignored. New guidelines from the American Heart Association focus on long-term health and urge women to adopt healthy lifestyle habits early as a way to prevent heart disease. That’s because each daily choice can add up to a lifetime of protection for a woman. Here are a few tips to follow: Eat fish at least twice a week. It’s high in omega 3 fatty acids and boosts heart health. Cut saturated fats to less than seven percent of your daily calories and trans fats to about zero.
