Women's Health : PMS
If you struggle every month with PMS, you’re not alone. Some estimates suggest that nearly 75 percent of menstruating women experience at least some symptoms of PMS like moodiness, headaches, cramps, food cravings, and back, breast or muscle pain. So what’s a girl to do to fight the discomfort of PMS? Research has shown that lifestyle changes often relieve mild symptoms. Exercise to help reduce mood changes, fluid retention and fatigue. Avoid caffeine around your period if you experience irritability or sleeplessness. Try eating small, frequent meals to offset food cravings. Take aspirin or another over-the-counter pain reliever for cramps, headaches and other aches and pains. If your symptoms become severe, be sure to talk to your doctor.
