Hopefully, you made it past the first week, but what about that New Year’s resolution to diet and exercise. Have you blown it already? If not, you should reward yourself. We do it with our pets, our kids, even our employees, but almost never with ourselves. Doctors say you should commit your goals to paper, and combine each milestone with a (non-food) treat. Lose three pounds—buy that new CD you want. Exercise three times a week—you deserve a massage!
And don’t forget about the most important meal of the day. Breakfast fills your "empty tank" to get you going after a long night without food. Easy to prepare breakfasts include cold cereal with fruit and low-fat milk, whole-wheat toast with peanut butter, or even last night's pizza!
If your new year’s resolution was more about your heart, St. John’s can help with our cardiovascular risk assessment. We offer five tests for your heart, for just $99. Our next session is set for this Friday January 12th. For more info or to sign up, call St. John’s Referral One at 625-2000 or log onto stj.com.
