The fight against cancer continues, and now doctors are asking you to help. They say, the easiest, least-expensive way to reduce your risk for cancer is just by eating a healthy diet.
When it comes to a diet rich in cancer-fighting substances, most experts agree that it should consist of plant-based foods. If you have two-thirds of plant food on your plate, that seems to be enough to avoid excessive amounts of food high in saturated fat. But let’s be realistic. If you’re trying to choke this stuff down, it's never going to last. Instead, think about adding just one more vegetable a month to your diet, and you’ll be off to a great start.
With cold and flu season in full swing it’s hard not to think about germs. They’re everywhere. In the office, at home, and at the gym. I mean, people are more worried about the trash can than the kitchen sink, when it should be the other way around. After all, the fight is in your hands. Literally. Eighty percent of infections are spread through hand contact. So wash up, people, and get ready to wage a bit of germ warfare of your own. For more health tips, just go to stj.com.
