Are you looking to hit the friendly skies and travel anywhere to get out of here? Sometimes a trip is all we need, but the jet lag can set us back for a few days on our vacation. So here are a few things to keep in mind before hitting the skies. First, get plenty of sleep before you leave, eat well-balanced meals and exercise as much as you can on your trip. They will all help against jet lag, and make it a more enjoyable trip.

Even if you don’t make it to Europe this summer, you should be protecting yourself from skin cancer. Remember to use sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher. Limit your time in the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. when rays are at their strongest. And keep in mind that some medications can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight.

Be sure to grab your sunscreen if you’re heading out to Landreth park this weekend for Boomtown days. St. John’s will be there all three days providing a 1st aid station. So be sure to stop by our booth and say “hi”. Boomtown days runs today, tomorrow and Sunday. And for all of your health needs, just visit us at stj.com.
