Home Health : Heat Stroke
Summer time is a great time to enjoy fun in the sun. But, this is the time of year when you have to be extra careful not to spend too much time in the heat. Becoming over heated can cause heat exhaustion and even heat stroke. When your body begins to become overheated, you can experience an increased heart rate and even higher blood pressure. St. John’s Health Connection will offer a health fair at the Webb City Community Center on June 30 from 9 – 11 am. Get in out of the heat and take advantage of free screenings like bone density, blood pressure, body fat composition, O2 saturation and blood sugar. Cholesterol screenings will be available for $5. We’ll also offer a free health talk on diabetes beginning at 11:15. For more information or to learn more about the health screening, call St. John’s Referral One at 625.2000 or log on to stj.com.
When it matters most, think St. John’s.
