General Health : Heel Pain

Heel pain can strike anyone. One of the most common causes of heel pain is plantar fasciitis, which is caused when a ligament along the bottom of the foot becomes inflamed. Here are some ways to strengthen and relieve your feet: grab a towel with your toes like you’re going to pick it up. Repeat this several times a day. Stand straight, with your arms out in front of you and your hands flat on the wall. Put one leg slightly behind the other. Slowly bend your knees until you feel a stretch in your lower leg and hold for 10 to 15 seconds and repeat six to eight times. Heel pain should improve in two to three weeks of home treatment and stretching. If not, talk to your doctor about other therapies.
