St. John's Health MinuteIt’s the day of regret as you weigh all the food you consumed yesterday. It just so happens, today is also the busiest shopping day of the year, so there’s one great idea to start burning off those calories.

If that doesn’t get you out of your turkey coma, consider this. Hanging those Christmas lights or raking leaves are also good forms of exercise and can help burn off the more than 3,000 calories you consumed with that Thanksgiving feast. So make today a day to get out of the house and do something to better your health.

Here’s a message for women, during this stressful time of year. St. John’s is ready to help you get through the holidays with a special health talk for women on Friday, December 1st at 12 noon. Dr. Teresa Gatton will talk about ways to handle stress, the latest cosmetic procedures available and the benefits of massage therapy. For more information or to sign up for the talk, call St. John’s Referral One at 625-2000 or log onto stj.com.
