St. John's Health MinuteAre you ready for a nap? Power naps during the day are not a sign of laziness; in fact doctors say most of us would benefit from an afternoon nap. They say we should develop our own signs and symptoms checklist: For instance, what do you do when you’re tired? For some people, it's mood; anything sets them off. For others it's memory; they can't remember where they put their keys. If this sounds like you, maybe all you need is a nice nap.

The cooler temperatures are here, which means flu season is around the corner. If you want to protect yourself, now is the time to get your flu shot. And St. John’s can help you with our drive-by flu shot clinic. The CDC is recommends the following groups get the shot this year. Adults age 50 and over, children aged 6 to 59 months, pregnant women, persons with chronic medical conditions and those who live or work with such persons. St. John’s drive-by flu shot clinic is set for this Wednesday, November 8th. It’ll all take place on St. John’s blvd, on our campus, starting at 7 am. The cost is just $10. For more information, call St. John’s Referral One at 625-2000 or log onto stj.com.
