St. John's Health MinuteAre you thinking pink this month? If not, you should be. Our greatest weapon against breast cancer is still early detection. Breast cancer found early can be treated successfully. So practice breast self exams monthly and if you’re over age 40, get your mammogram annually. Those at higher risk should consult their doctor about getting a mammogram at an earlier age. It might just save your life.

For those who have had to deal with cancer, St. John’s recognizes the difficulties and has something to make you feel better. Join us for the "Look Good Feel Better” event sponsored by the American Cancer Society. It’s set for this coming Monday, October 16 from 2-4 in St. John`s Mercy Conference Center. It’s a special program for past and present female cancer patients to help you feel better on the inside and out. Each attendee will receive a free make-up kit.
