St. John's Health MinuteIf you want more bang from your workout, here’s a tip. Workout in the AM. Research has shown that people who exercise in the morning keep their metabolism elevated for hours. Shoot for 100 to 200 calories to nibble on, like yogurt, a piece of fruit, peanut butter and crackers, or half an energy bar. And if you are one that avoids the gym, here’s a quick tip to help you get fit. Before you even get out of bed in the morning, do 10 stomach crunches while lying flat on your mattress. Increase daily by one until you get up to 100.
