If you do one thing to improve your dental health this fall, turn over a new leaf by ditching habits that are hard on your teeth. That means no more chewing on ice or popcorn kernels. Ice is a crystal and tooth enamel is a crystal, so when the two meet, one of them has to give. Popcorn kernels can break teeth or fillings too, and the hull, if lodged in gum tissue, can irritate and cause bacteria buildup.
Just because it’s getting colder doesn’t mean this is the time to go into hibernation. There are still needs in the community and we still need your help. So mark this on your calendar. St. John’s will be hosting a community blood drive next Monday, November 6th from 10:00 - 4:00 in our Conference Center. And here’s an incentive you won’t find anywhere else. All donors will receive FREE movie tickets and meal tickets. For more information about all of our upcoming screenings, call St. John’s Referral One at 625-2000 or log onto stj.com.
