St. John's Health MinuteIt’s Halloween, so the kids will be hitting the streets tonight for all those treats. So parents, keep these health and safety tips in mind. First, make sure your child eats a good dinner before going out Trick-or-Treating. They need proper energy tonight. Make sure you work into their Halloween costume, reflector strips, a flashing safety light or the popular glow light sticks. And if your kids are old enough to go out alone, let them borrow the fully charged family cell phone, with your home number ready, just in case of an emergency.

And here’s a message for women. After a stressful night out with the kids, you’ll need to recover and think about you. So St. John’s is ready to help with a special health talk for women on Thursday, November 9th at 7:00 in the evening. Dr. Teresa Gatton will talk about the latest cosmetic procedures available, the benefits of massage therapy and ways to handle stress. For more information or to sign up for the talk, call St. John’s Referral One at 625-2000 or log onto stj.com.
