St. John's Health MinuteOctober is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so here’s a message from your doctor. Get your mammogram. Breast cancer is the No. 2 cause of cancer death for American women, but two important things are changing that. Screening and Treatment. Screening can flag breast cancer at an earlier, more survivable stage. And the treatment options out there are increasing. So do yourself a favor, and call to schedule your mammogram today.

During the month of October, St. John’s will be pink. The lights are now glowing pink on the building, and we are featuring a pink ribbon tree. You can purchase a ribbon for $1 and place it on the tree with a message. All the proceeds will go to help women get mammograms who can’t afford them. Also, get ready, because the St. John’s Mobile Mammography Unit is coming to a town near year. See it first at this year’s Carthage Maple Leaf Parade.
