Oncology : Breast Cancer
The first day of October might bring images of pumpkins and hay bales to some people’s minds, but others may just be thinking pink. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. To kick off a month of awareness, St. John’s will host a pink lighting ceremony tonight at 7 pm in the St. John’s Courtyard. Join us as the campus lights go pink in honor of breast cancer awareness. Tonight’s event will feature music, refreshments and pink ribbon tree to honor breast cancer survivors, and remember those who have gone. St. John’s wants to remind all area women to get their annual mammogram. Simply having an annual mammogram can decrease a woman’s chance of dying from breast cancer by nearly 60 percent. Remember that early detection is the key to breast cancer prevention! To learn more or to make your appointment, call St. John’s Referral One at 625.2000 or log on to stj.com.
When it matters most, think St. John’s.
