Throughout the course of our lives, we all experience episodes of unhappiness, sadness, or grief, often, when a loved one dies, or we suffer a personal tragedy or difficulty such as divorce or loss of a job. Over a period of days or weeks, the majority of us are able bounce back to our normal activities. But when these feelings last for more than a couple of weeks, we may have what is called clinical depression. If you or someone you know has more than just the blues, talk to your doctor. There is help out there. Depression can be diagnosed and treated effectively in most people.
Summer will be here before you know it which means now would be a good time to get a skin test to check for any abnormalities. And St. John’s has just what you need. FREE skin screenings with Dr. Mark Matlock will be available, Friday, May 9th from 1-4 at our Health Connection location inside Northpark Mall. Registration is required so call St. John’s Referral One at 625-2000 or log onto stj.com.
