You may have heard about the perks of blueberries, but do you know why? Well, they boast a number of disease fighting antioxidants, including vitamin C. Antioxidants help protect against free radicals that can cause cell damage, possibly leading to conditions such as cancer, heart disease and Alzheimers. So when’s the time to stock up? Fresh blueberry season runs from mid-April to late September. For the rest of the year, you can go with the frozen, canned and dried versions you’ll find in grocery stores.

Do you know a women who could use a day of pampering. If so they need to attend the St. John's SportsCare Body, Mind and Soul Retreat on April 19th from 9 to 1. Pre-registration is required so sign up now! Just call St. John’s Referral One at 625-2000 or log onto stj.com.
