Attention parents! The makers of all over-the-counter oral cough and cold medicines for infants announced that they are taking the products off the market. The voluntary withdrawal comes from potential misuse of these infant medicines, not product safety. The over the counter medicines include Dimetapp, Tylenol, Pediacare, Little Colds, Robitussin and Triaminic brands. For a complete list of the exact products made by these companies, go to WebMD.com. Please keep in mind, the withdrawal only applies to cough and cold medicines that refer to "infants," not to children who are at least 2 years old.
